People of Bharat – Financing a child education while guarding apartments
People of Bharat
A few months ago, as I ascended the elevator to my apartment, I saw Ramesh, our security guard. He was talking on the phone to someone and he seemed distressed. I interact with him regularly as I enter the building, and had never seen him like this before.
The story of Ramesh
Ramesh is 38 years old and has been a part of our apartment building for the longest time. He is always the happy one who helps me with picking my parcels or saving my parking space from the visitors. On a rainy day, a few months ago, I was stuck as the lifts were being repaired in the building. We conversed about many things – the government scenario, how he loves his family and will do absolutely anything to give them the best education. He was looking for excellent private schools for his daughter and accomplished the same from his Rs 18,000 salary.
‘But, this must be pretty expensive for you; covering all of the daily expenses and paying your children’s school fees at the same time,’ I enquired. To which he replied, ‘Yes, it will be quite difficult. The income is always less, but I always make sure that I do everything in my power to provide quality education to my kids to fulfill all their dreams and aspirations.’
But, today he was afraid. When I spoke to him, he said that the school needs another 50,000 as a security deposit. He decided to try his luck with the bank in which he has his salary account. However, he was intimidated by a bank’s loan procedure and was not at ease to apply for one. He also tried asking for help from other people and he was stuck convincing them about repayment.
Availing a P2P Loan
Fortunately, I was made aware of RupeeCircle, and I surmised that this would be really helpful for Ramesh, as he wants to get a quick loan and can do easy repayments from his salary.
Ramesh was delighted to know that it was possible to receive the amount within three days. He applied for the loan with RupeeCircle and received approval in 72 hours. The money was disbursed to his bank account on the fifth day. In June 2019, his daughter started at her new school. Ramesh has been paying his EMIs in a timely manner and has also gone on to refer two of his colleagues to get a loan from RupeeCircle.
I was impressed by his zeal for fulfilling his children’s dreams and positioning the importance of a child’s education in one’s life.
And I am proud of Bharat, where there are people like Ramesh Kamble, who dream big for their children and understand the importance of education in their lives. I am equally proud of the new India, which is working hard to make sure people like Ramesh can dream and get help for fulfilling those needs.
The financial support when we need the most is the most valuable of all. RupeeCircle pledges to give that support to everyone who needs and does it by connecting people who equally understand the importance of it on the other side of the spectrum. This is the new era where India and Bharat are coming together and making the world a better place!
